first vision
What if the first vision was an event where Joseph saw God, as God sees things (all things continually before him)? Doesn't that potentially account for differing accounts of that event. Joseph could recall seeing one part of one time, at one point, and another part of another time, at another point.
Justification and Sanctification
"If justification removes the punishment for past sin, then sanctification removes the stain or effects of sin."
Christ is ultimate ALJ (Administrative Law Judge) both judge and advocate (defender)
Miracles
When you are healed, the consequences of the natural world are set aside.
When someone is compelled to do (or not do) things, they lose their agency in that act(s).

Mourning
When you have done what the Lord had asked of you, but the audience is too proud/hard hearted/stiff necked, the Lord may direct you to withdraw and mourn. Ether 11:13
Atonement
You know someone, not by knowing facts about them, but by having shared experiences with them.
The same applies to the Lord. You know him by having shared experiences with him.
The sacrament allows those who know the Lord to ponder on him, which can result in you humbling yourself, which can result in you repenting/changing.
The atonement isn't something the Lord did/does, but a huge part of who he IS.
Those who do not grasp the true nature of time and the fact that all things are continually before the Lord, can't begin to grasp the atonement.
More importantly, those who view the atonement as a single event crucifixion (or series of events suffering in the garden, crucifixion, resurrection) fail to appreciate the Lord's role a advocate with the father, and consequently bring damnation upon themselves.
See, 3 Nephi 27:15
